- Q: What preparation is needed for the 20ft container before installing a Flexitank?
- A: The container must be inspected for sharp objects or rust. We require the installation of a corrugated liner board and a steel bulkhead barrier (provided with the tank) to protect the liner and secure the cargo against the container doors.
- Q: Are Flexitanks suitable for liquids that solidify at low temperatures?
- A: Yes, we offer thermal Flexitanks that include an integrated heating pad or blanket to maintain viscosity and facilitate pumping/discharge of products like palm oil or certain lubricants in cold environments.
Structural Components
- Multi-Layer Liner: 3−4 layers of PE film (internal containment).
- Outer Woven Shell: High-tensile PP (Polypropylene) woven fabric (structural support).
- Bulkhead: Steel tube and board structure installed at the door end for securing cargo.
- Valve: Integrated valve for loading (top/bottom) and discharge (bottom).
Material & Methodologies
Materials: Food-grade Polyethylene (PE) for the film and durable Polypropylene (PP) Woven Fabric. Packaging method involves Liner Installation and Securing inside the ISO container, followed by Automated High-Speed Pumping from the tanker truck into the flexitank via the valve port.
